The ICUs themselves can be jammed in via the back door or via the secret (OK, not so secret but it was a few days before I’d discovered it) opening at the top, which allows for the ICUs to be slipped in without needing any muscle. The hydration bladder fits inside a sleeve on the interior, backside of the ICUs. You access your camera gear via the flappy door also acting as your back padding. It has space for a hydration bladder and the forward facing port for the tube to come out. The hard plastic waist buckle on every bag I’ve ever owned will somehow always find a way to stab me and no one needs that. Furthermore, with a plethora of attachment points, additional pieces of gear such as skis, hiking poles or even a snowboard can easily be loaded.Īlso, kudos to f-stop Gear for doing something I love and putting the hip belt buckle on the left padded waist arm instead of placing it smack dab in the middle of the belt. It has all the pockets in all the right spots and includes an internal aluminum frame to better distribute the load on your back. In effect, the Loka UL is just like any other backpack you might find. Keeping the comparisons going while glancing at the weight of several other bags in the same class as the Loka Ultralight, and they all weigh in at between two and six pounds heavier. My first experience hiking with it, packed with a Nikon’s D800, 300mm f/2.8, 24-70 and 14-24 and I actually said to a friend “I’ve forgotten I have a backpack on.” He carried it for the next 200 yards or so and had the same sentiments. Floating like a butterfly on your back while you sting photos like a bee. With that out of the way, lets finally get to the bag. No need to change backpacks, just swap the ICU. Having a full-sized Large ICU and a Small ICU lets you go whole hog or half hog, depending on your needs. When you factor those two features against the less than free wheeling competition, the choice may become easier for you. F STOP LOKA FULLThe next it’s a full day hike with plans to eat breakfast, lunch and supper beside the campfire. One day it’s a three-hour hike with the goal of shooting a specific set of photos and getting the hell out of there. F STOP LOKA SERIESIt’s positively my most favorite aspect of all the f-stop Gear Mountain Series camera backpacks.Īs I’ve said before, I’m all over the place. There’s no end to the level of adjustments and packing options with the ICUs. The most appealing part of the ICU system is its customization factor, it is off the charts. Eventually you’re on a job that requires your Magic Arm and it’s in your roller… at home. It’s tiresome, risky and something’s always missed. ![]() ![]() The task of repacking from one bag to another is one a lot of photographers deal with daily. If you’re the kind of person who does various activities each requiring their own bag type then the flexibility afforded by the ICUs is priceless. When you get right down to it, the f-stop Gear ICU methodology is comparatively inexpensive. F STOP LOKA PROLeft to right: Shallow ICU medium w/ 70-200, Shallow small w/ D700+24-70, XL Pro ICU w/ D3+300mm 2.8 and 70-200 across the top. F STOP LOKA PROFESSIONALIf this sounds like a lot, then you’ve obviously not shopped for a professional grade backpack this decade. With a price point of around $250 for the bag alone, stare another $60 to $100 in the face for an Internal Camera Unit (or two) and that $250 quickly becomes almost $400. If you’re fluent with f-stop Gear’s lineup, feel free to skip a few paragraphs, you already know why that grumbling is unnecessary. Nothing changes in this department, but for the uninitiated this may cause you to grumble a little. A streamlined revision of the original Loka, the new Loka UL will be the eighth bag in the Mountain Series.įirst and foremost for current subscribers to the f-stop way of life, it’s still an ICU backpack. And I’ll let you in on something else: they solved it a long time ago.īack country mountain men and women have been digging the f-stop camera back system for some time, and the endless vocal support found on many message boards speaks volumes about the quality you get for your money. ![]() ![]() ![]() It has a great visual quality for the users. ![]() #Fxfactory pro crack windows for macIt has a good performance and an amazing performance for Mac and Windows. Tags: Duane Eddy, Ed Sullivan, Jefferson Airplane, Little Peggy March, RCA, Rita Pavone, The Small Faces, The Youngbloods, Twiggy ![]() #Rita pavone full#You have to hand it to RCA, they were pretty good at handing out full color sleeves: Duane Eddy, The Youngbloods, The Small Faces, Jefferson Airplane, Little Peggy March. In 1963, she released her eponymous debut. In a very, very, very small way, I suppose it helped the record’s climb to #26 on the Billboard charts. Rita Pavone made her mark in the world of entertainment when she worked on Dont Sting the Mosquitoa (1967). The lure of a picture sleeve was too much for me to resist. Italian singer Rita Pavone pictured wearing a blue shirt, tie and pleated skirt and holding a book circa 1964. ‘Remember Me’ got some radio traction here, despite the accent, which I found very exotic. Italian Schlager singer Rita Pavone at Hamburg, Germany, 1960s. She did make a decent album, and a couple of good singles. How her tomboy, hobo image slotted in so nicely with the English Invasion’s mini skirted and Yardley’s Slickered lipped Twiggy types in hindsight doesn’t make much sense. Hearty congratulations to AATIA members Robin Bonthrone and Marco Hanson, who both recently passed the American Translators Association (ATA) certification. She was on Ed Sullivan many times, or seemingly. Remember Rita Pavone? Something to the effect of a sixteen year old Italian teen sensation. But the artistic side of the swap was tragic and even the economic side didn't pay in the end.Listen: Remember Me / Rita Pavone RitaPavone.mp3 Apparently Rita & her soon-to-be-husband manager were given some monetary advantage. No one in their right mind could understand such a blatantly wrong career move. In late 1967, just after Rita had won Cantagiro with ' Questo nostro amore' and had followed it up with ' Non dimenticar le mie parole' - which I still think one of her best recording ever - we received the news Pavone had left RCA Italiana and signed with Dischi Ricordi. 01, 1966 - Rita Pavone and the Snow man: Italian singer Rita Pavone had a very cold welcome when she arrived at Zurich today for a performance: It was 20 degrees below zero and the first fan to welcome her was a snow man. Brazilian radio had changed dramatically in the last 3 years. Even though the film itself was a hit the songs didn't play on the radio. In June 1967, 'Rita, o mosquito' (La zanzara) was released all over the country and Brazilians could finally catch up with a new Pavone. So all through 19, I spent a lot of dough to keep abreast of what Rita was doing in Europe. arrived in Brazil 3 months later but in those pre-digital years that was good enough. As I was a dedicated fan I found out Brazilian newsstands started importing Italian youth magazines as of late 1965. It took more than a year for RCA to release a new Pavone single which unfortunately was cacophonous 'Supercalifragilistic espiralidoso' which needless to say went nowhere.Īs they say 'out of sight out of mind'. Maybe it had to do with bad management from RCA Victor that did not even bother to release ' Lui' - a great track - as a single. The fact is that Rita Pavone records just disappeared from the market as of June 1965. Maybe Brazilians had enough of Italian music and were diversifying into Anglo-American music but mostly into the indigenous rock made by Brazilian young men. Rita was back touring Brazil in late April 1965, which made her name a great sensation all over again. ![]() In early 1965, Pavone's records were still played on most Brazilian radio stations. ![]() 'Datemi un martello' was #1 in the country and Rita was the best selling recording artist for the year 1964. Music by Rita Pavone has been featured in the The Royal Treatment soundtrack and Professor T (2021) soundtrack. #Rita pavone tv#I had been fan of Rita Pavone since 25 June 1964, the night I saw her on TV Record in Sao Paulo. It was a 4 year-contract but at the end of the 2nd year everyone knew Rita's career was in Skid Row and never would she reach the top again. When Rita Pavone left RCA Italiana and signed with Dischi Ricordi in October 1967, did little she know she was signing her own 'death sentence'. ![]() ![]() Tip: I’ve attached my computer using my phone’s hotspot and used Connect via WiFi option on the tool, and it worked like a charm.
